Today we celebrate Bertolt Brecht’s 123rd birthday. This day also marks a year under some version of a forced distancing. There is a fitting theme in his works that seek the most authentic threads of reality, pinned them on a stage, punctuated with emotion, alienation, and complex interactions. 

 

He is an author we will forever need.
